Summer is a professional artist who also loves facilitating workshops and group art shows under the name Soft Gallery. She has been teaching art to all ages/levels for nearly 20 years and has worked in partnership with public and private organizations in Toronto, Vancouver, and the Comox Valley.
Summer is passionate about offering classes geared to all levels focusing on the process of creativity and building community through making together. She believes the road to happiness is paved when we unhook from the outcome and step in to play and curiosity.

In this 2 hour workshop, I will guide you through a series of creative exercises designed for all levels and experience, culminating in a collaborative group painting. This is about reconnecting with your creativity, giving yourself the permission to play.
A Quiet Spark is a guided communal creative experience designed for people who don't consider themselves artists as well as those who do. Working with simple materials around a shared table, I create the conditions for everyone to be at exactly the same level, trying something new together, with no pressure at all. It starts with structure and intention but soon flows into colour, experimentation and creative freedom. Simple but profound, it's a space for us to reconnect with creativity and with each other.
